Pourtant, ce mot recouvre des installations tr\u00e8s vari\u00e9es, parfois techniquement complexes. Plus une remont\u00e9e est importante, plus son fonctionnement est \u00e9labor\u00e9. N\u00e9anmoins, les grandes cat\u00e9gories restent assez simples \u00e0 comprendre.<\/p>\n<p>On distingue g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement trois types principaux :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Les remonte-pentes<\/li>\n<li>Les t\u00e9l\u00e9ph\u00e9riques<\/li>\n<li>Les funiculaires<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tous fonctionnent gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un c\u00e2ble tracteur entra\u00een\u00e9 par un treuil. Les skieurs ou les cabines y sont attach\u00e9s via un syst\u00e8me de pince. Les installations \u00e0 pinces fixes restent attach\u00e9es en permanence au c\u00e2ble. C\u2019est le cas de nombreux t\u00e9l\u00e9skis et de certains t\u00e9l\u00e9si\u00e8ges. \u00c0 l\u2019inverse, les syst\u00e8mes d\u00e9brayables permettent aux si\u00e8ges ou cabines de se d\u00e9tacher du c\u00e2ble en station. Ils ralentissent alors pour faciliter l\u2019embarquement et le d\u00e9barquement, avant de reprendre une vitesse \u00e9lev\u00e9e une fois repartis. Ce syst\u00e8me am\u00e9liore \u00e0 la fois le confort et le d\u00e9bit, avec des vitesses pouvant atteindre environ 6 m\/s. C\u2019est aujourd&rsquo;hui la technologie la plus moderne dans ce domaine.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"type-1-:-les-remonte-pentes\">Type 1 : les remonte-pentes<\/h2>\n<h3>1. Le t\u00e9l\u00e9ski \u00e0 assiettes<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1802\" data-end=\"2027\">Souvent surnomm\u00e9 \u00ab babylift \u00bb, le t\u00e9l\u00e9ski \u00e0 assiettes est une installation monoplace qui exige tout de m\u00eame un certain \u00e9quilibre. Le skieur doit rester debout et se laisser tracter seul, ce qui demande un minimum de ma\u00eetrise. On les trouve principalement sur des pentes douces destin\u00e9es aux d\u00e9butants. T\u00e9l\u00e9ski \u00e0 archet<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"22\" data-end=\"394\">Le t\u00e9l\u00e9ski \u00e0 archet, aussi appel\u00e9 t\u00e9l\u00e9ski \u00e0 ancre, est un remonte-pente bien connu, m\u00eame s\u2019il a \u00e9t\u00e9 progressivement remplac\u00e9 dans de nombreuses stations par des installations plus modernes comme les t\u00e9l\u00e9si\u00e8ges. Il pr\u00e9sente toutefois un avantage appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 : il permet de monter \u00e0 deux, ce qui en fait un moment propice aux \u00e9changes\u2026 ou m\u00eame aux petits moments de complicit\u00e9. Malgr\u00e9 cela, son utilisation peut devenir fatigante sur de longues distances. La position l\u00e9g\u00e8rement inclin\u00e9e impos\u00e9e par les chaussures de ski sollicite fortement les jambes, au point de provoquer une sensation de br\u00fblure dans les cuisses. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un tapis roulant recouvert de caoutchouc, principalement install\u00e9 sur des zones plates pour les d\u00e9butants. Tr\u00e8s r\u00e9pandu dans les espaces d\u00e9di\u00e9s aux enfants, il permet de se d\u00e9placer sans effort, presque \u00ab comme par magie \u00bb. Son nom a d\u2019ailleurs \u00e9t\u00e9 popularis\u00e9 pour le rendre plus attractif et rassurant, notamment aupr\u00e8s des plus jeunes qui pourraient \u00eatre intimid\u00e9s par un tapis en mouvement. Il se caract\u00e9rise par deux c\u00e2bles parall\u00e8les et une suspension tr\u00e8s courte des cabines, ce qui lui conf\u00e8re une grande stabilit\u00e9. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cette configuration, il r\u00e9siste particuli\u00e8rement bien au vent et offre un d\u00e9placement fluide et confortable, m\u00eame sur de longues distances. Avec une capacit\u00e9 pouvant atteindre environ 4 000 personnes par heure, il est surtout utilis\u00e9 pour desservir efficacement les grands domaines skiables. Les si\u00e8ges et les cabines sont dispos\u00e9s en alternance sur le c\u00e2ble. Les usagers peuvent ainsi choisir, au moment de l\u2019embarquement, entre un si\u00e8ge ou une cabine. Cette solution est particuli\u00e8rement adapt\u00e9e lorsque la remont\u00e9e est utilis\u00e9e \u00e0 la fois par des skieurs et des pi\u00e9tons, ou encore par des d\u00e9butants recherchant plus de confort. Ce type d\u2019installation reste toutefois relativement rare. Inspir\u00e9 du chemin de fer, il se distingue par ses voitures inclin\u00e9es, con\u00e7ues pour s\u2019adapter \u00e0 la pente.
